I am starting this post on August 4, 2016 with exactly 2 weeks until our team from Global Year is on the ground in Honduras. The excitement hit me today during my shift at Mathnasium while I wrote down a "To-Do List" which included all of the things that I will need to buy and/or pack before we head out. I am definitely sad to be leaving behind all of my friends and family, but I know that God is in control and He is going to place each of us exactly where we need to be to glorify Him, and there are too many verses to include that speak about giving up everything, even family, in order to serve Christ. I also know that all of my friends who I took care of are going to be just fine, because God has been, is, and will be the one who takes care of them, up until now I have just been lucky enough to be one of his tools in that process. I have to finish setting up this computer and packing, and I have to make sure I spend time with all of my friends before we head out on our different paths, so my 2 weeks will probably chaotic but fun like usual. I pray that this blog will let people see Christ save souls in Honduras, and maybe save a few souls that read this blog and see the Holy Spirit do His amazing work over the next 9 months. I have seen Him work with just a t-shirt and even less, plus He is God over all creation, so He can definitely work some wonders through a simple blog. Keep us in your prayers, and glorify God in all that you do. Amen.
