I am working with 4 fifth graders who do not speak English in an attempt to help them catch up as much as possible, it is stinking hard, but they work hard, most of the time. It didn't help that 2 of them had to stay at home for three days because they had lice. But this little dude is Raul next to my chin, he's funny but he'll need some prayer to help him focus, and I'll need some prayer for patience along with Jacob, the lead teacher, please.

Every Friday for the last hour of school we do chapel, one for the bigger kids and one for the smaller kids, we play games, sing songs, and have a lesson. This past week I presented the Gospel to the older kids, I tried to figure out what to say but never really had a good setup, but God gave me the words, I used some scripture from Ephesians 2 which wound up included the theme verse of the entire school, it was an accident, but God knew exactly what He was doing. They raced to fill up water bottles with cups, Dixon's team won in case you were curious.
This is Andrea playing with the John Deere floor puzzle during chapel on Friday afternoon. She is 10 years old and has Down Syndrome like Jacob. She and I work from 1-1:40 on Mondays and Wednesdays in a book to teach her how to read and write, but she hasn't been at school for the past three days. Please pray for her health and that Gd continues to love on her and take good care of her, and that her family loves her and takes care of her. The school is not really equipped to take care of special needs kids, she is really welcoming to people, very fast, copies everything you say, and she loves to color.
