Abuela's real name is Lilia, she had her 77th birthday this past Sunday. When Mike and I were inviting people to church, going door to door, I passed by her house because she is blind and I thought there was no physical way for her to be able to come, but she cried out so we turned around and spoke to her. She does not have teeth and our Spanish was very poor so she wanted prayer for her son but I couldn't tell you why. We prayed together and then invited her to church, we lead her by the hand and walk her to church every Sunday and every Thursday for bible study, then we walk her home. She has visions from God and they usually come true in one form or another, it blows my mind, she is so sweet, she sings songs she believes God gave her to share with the church and even though she can't see or stand alone, she still gets up and sings, she is always praying for her children and grandchildren. This is us in church on her birthday, the sweater and stocking cap were gifts.

Rachel had her 19th birthday yesterday, she is one of the other Global Year students. She attended Etowah High School and played lacrosse, she is going to play next year in college on scholarship. She works with Kindergarten. Its cool to see her get pumped over the idea that Jesus chose to save her, she has a heart for these people. She also helps lead music with Carlos for AWANA every Friday, and sings every Sunday.
